I don’t have any new ice cream recipes.  I’ve been meaning to get some dinner recipes up and in the archive.  I’ve been slacking, I admit.

I want to give a little spiel on how I determine which supplements are good.

Everyone should be on 3 things if they live in Wisconsin:

  • Vitamin D3 (5,000-10,000 IU per day)
  • Omega 3 Supplement (500-1000 mg/day)
  • Probiotics (recommended dosage by the manufacturer)

Should you have vitamins in your cabinet, go ahead and use them up.

There are silly little fillers that companies use to make the flow easier into the capsule.  Hydrogenated oils, magnesium stearate, artificial colors and titanium dioxide are the most common harmful additives.  They can prevent and distort the absorption of the supplement you are trying to absorb.

Here are some good companies to order these three things from:

Designs for Health
Nutrition Dynamics
Protocol
N.O.W.

Whey protein can also help replenish the muscles and add to growth after a workout.  This is the best tasting, best value whey protein I’ve ever had that doesn’t have harmful additives and artificial sweeteners.
