I have this sweet little group of friends that are awesome. Why are they awesome? They are awesome because they each differ in their health needs, and have grown from those experiences with Paleo in some form or another. It’s crazy that in my circle of friends, I have been able to help them in one way or another. In the sense of food allergies and chiropractic – I. Absolutely. Love. It.
Take my friend Jess, for instance. She’s struggled with weight, thyroid, adrenal and dealing with her son’s issue that may or may not be ADD/ADHD. What’s a girl to do? Well, for one thing she researches stuff and has a knack for deciphering good from bad material on Dr. Google. Seriously, she comes up with things that I have not thought of. Cutting out sugar, dairy and grain is what worked for her. She’s seriously so much better with a Paleo diet that requires a little tweaking every once in a while, flare ups when she indulges in certain things and so she has to tighten it back up again. But she figured out what worked for her!
Or Erika. She is so determined to beat her genetics – – and it’s working. All through Paleo and supreme genetic expression by doing high intensity workouts several times per week. She works her butt off and it’s totally paying off. She does a modified Paleo diet because she can handle things a bit better than Jess can.
Wendy has had several health challenges herself. Eliminating certain types of foods from her diet has helped her achieve some health goals, and there are others she is still working on.
The point is, these are just three of my friends with health issues that have all been helped in some way or another by adapting a Paleo or Paleo-like lifestyle. I have overcome SO MANY health challenges myself, so I encourage you to try it. Even if it’s just for a 30 day try – maybe you will see some symptoms you were discounting go away! You may even like it!
